kai Rose Hand Cream, 2 Fl OzThis is a nice lightweight rose scented lotion. It's not for heavy duty moisturizing or very dry, chapped skin. It's more of a daily maintenance hand lotion. It feels a little greasy while working it in, but absorbs well and leaves my hands feeling smooth and soft. There is a definite rose scent that is not over -powering. The lotion does seem to hold the scent nicely.
This hand cream is thick and rich which is what I need in the cold dry winter weather to provide hydration and a barrier against the elements. The formula has a long list of components including shea butter, sunflower and safflower oil, aloe vera and a number of botanicals—and it is paraben and phthalate free. The signature fragrance is rose absolute based but more complex. Upon application the scent it is quite strong but dissipates to a more subtle fragrance. And, although I am not normally a fan of florals I genuinely like this scent. A small amount of the cream goes a long way and because it is so thick it is easy to gently squeeze and release precisely the amount desired which avoids wasting product. It was completely absorbed within a few minutes with no residual greasy or sticky feeling. The flip top tube has a foil inner seal to ensure it arrives fresh and untouched. Vegan and cruelty-free. Excellent.
This is my first time using this hand cream and it has a nice scent. It does moisturize my hands but it does leave them feeling a little greasy afterwards.
This is a fine product. However, the price is too high and the fragrance smelled old.
For the size, it is a bit “spendy”, but if I tell you it’s my 4th tube you can see that I feel it’s worth every penny. The formula is rich but sinks into your skin and the fragrance is like aromatherapy. It makes me happy!😊
Nice hand cream and like the scent but borderline overpowering. Just rubbing a little on your hands will fill the entire room.
Smell like soap. Overpriced!
Expensive, but gave me a chance to sample KAI Rose at a reasonable price. I love the way this smells even better than original Kai. It melts into my skin and removes much of the crepe like feel of the skin on my old looking arms. The scent is very delicate tropical flowers with only a hint of fresh pink rosebuds and green leaves. It envelopes you in a light fresh cloud of scent, but is not overpowering! I would be very confident wearing this in an office or church setting as it is so delicate that it seems to meld to the lady wearing it rather than send out noxious fumes of overbearing perfume. (Nothing is more ghastly than sitting next to someone who went swimming in Dolce & Gabanna Light Blue... which to me is the “Youth Dew” of the 21st Century!... Have a heart, fellow perfumistas!... Please back away from the bottle after a couple of sprays!). This is a safe blind buy and will let you know if you would Like to Add the matching perfume oil. I am pretty sure I shall do so soon!
Best hand lotion for dry Hands and hang nails.
This product really helped my dry hands in the winter. However, when I first started using the product it burned my knuckles a bit. The rose scent was very nice too, but don't overdo it. My daughter got into my lotion and was pretty liberal about her use. It was odd to go from a light and enjoyable rose scent to a smell that was more chemically than anything else. I'm confused as to how this can be since the ingredient list is so simple. All the same, it does do a great job at moisturizing and feels like on the skin, if you don't overdo it, its a great addition to daily routines.
The two ounce size is great to stick in your purse, or to take in your carry-on when flying. I can get a hand washing or two after I apply. I wasn't sure I'd like the rose scent; didn't want to smell like my old granny back in the day HA! But it's quite pleasant with what comes to my nose as a second layer of fragrance that I like. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it's pricey.
This is for you! I'm a fan of rose lotions, but admittedly they are something that I don't use often. Many have a cloying, overtly floral scent that doesn't work for me in the long run (by long run, I mean until my next shower), I will say that this lotion doesn't do that. It does however turn to an almost rose like powder scent a few hours later, and I can't say I like that much either. As a few others have mentioned, this is a nice lotion. I do think it requires some extra work to get it fully worked in, if not there is a slightly slick feeling on your hands, again not a big deal. The lotion feel nice, but it just isn't quite thick enough for me. I use hand lotion specifically in the winter. I coach swimming and the change between the humid pool deck and the freezing cold-along with chlorine-wrecks havoc on my skin-especially the skin on my face and hands. This lotion just isn't quite thick enough for what I want, this might be a nice lotion to transition from winter to spring, but if you are looking for a nice thick balm for winter parched skin-I don't necessarily think this is the way to go.The price is on par with other boutique brands, and if this was a thicker balm-I might consider it. HOwever the way I use hand lotion-this formula just doesn't work for me and as such it seems a bit expensive to me. I think there are better options out there, but it is from a reputable brand and does have a lovely rose scent.
I love the scent of this lotion, and it doesn't linger. It's not a perfume effect life some heavy creams. This lotion is heavy in water and alcohol as the first ingredients, but it's very hygroscopic. It requires reapplication, and does leave a bit of a glycerine type film on the hands, and I'm not accustomed to that. It seems like it'd be good for cuticles and rough hands, however and for that I give high marks. This is expensive too, and it may prove to be valuable over time. I am very rough with my hands and my cuticles and finger tip are a disaster from too much hand washing, making candles with fragrances and wax, it's taking its toll on my hands and nails. This is a luxury lotion, and feels fancy. As for youthfulness and the backs of the hands, I do think this lotion does and will help with that too. We'll see. Very nice, but I'm getting used to this weird residue patina, it's not dry but it's not clean either.Still 5 stars.
This Kai Rose Hand Cream, 2 oz, the size is perfect to keep in your purse or desk at work, or by your kitchen sink or bathroom sink at home. The consistency of this hand cream is fairly thick, it only takes a little, and it does not run. It left my hands feeling like they had a skin protecting layer, soft, but not greasy. I love the rose scent, which is there, but not overpowering. With the upcoming holidays, this Kai Rose Hand Cream would make a wonderful stocking stuffer, or a nice addition to a beauty gift basket, or for a small hostess gift.
This works very well at keeping my hands feeling comfortably moist and it smells like a huge Rose Garden does on a warm Early Summer Morn, with the Dew being heated off of the blooming 🌹. I’d no intention of being poetic, it’s just that powerful in Scent. Haha!As with its longevity in moisturizing, the scent carries on for hours also, if you don’t wash your hands well in between. I personally enjoy this scent and wish it was a bit more subtle but, I know Many who love it. I figure that if you’re going to pay out the money that this Kai Rose Hand Cream requires, or for any other product that is above the norm, it’s because it’s exceptional; as it’s Scent is.If you want an exceptional lotion, you may want to get yourself some.Thank you for reading this and if you do decide to try it, I hope you love it!Enjoy!
Lightweight, yet rich creamy formula. It feels nice on my dry hands, but it is not my go-to product to protect and conquer dry skin especially in dry cold weather. For that I prefer a thicker barrier cream, and this leans more toward a nice lotion. Yet, my hands feel nice using this. So it fits into my life. I use it more to maintain through the day during dry cold weather, or for any time in warmer months. The travel size container (2oz) makes it easy to slip into my coat pocket, purse, or keep at the kitchen sink. I like that it absorbs quickly, and I don't feel like it is making my hands wet or greasy. I can continue with what I was doing without being hindered by this hand cream. My hands DO feel moisturized using this, so I like it better already than some hand lotions I have used where my skin feels no different. It incorporates many wonderful ingredients that is good for nourishing any type of skin. It is definitely fragrant; a robust rose aroma. I find it feminine, and not too cloying. It is pleasant if you like the scent of rose. This is their Kai rose hand cream, so I imagine you do if you are considering it. I think their other one is gardenia based.Definitely a luxury item for the price and size. I think fans of Kai will like this. It is nice, though. I can say that a little goes a long way, and the small container with flip top cap makes it easy for me to be mindful of how much I use. A pea size amount takes care of my hands, and I massage it well into my skin, and it never feels greasy- to me.Would make a nice addition to a themed gift, or a special something for someone who may appreciate pretty smelling, nicely moisturizing hand cream.Great that it is vegan, cruelty free, paraben, sulfate, phthalate, phosphate & gluten free. MADE IN USA! Also recyclable packaging.I see nothing wrong or concerning with this product. It works as expected. It isn't super amazing, but it really makes for a nice treat, and I think that combined with the quality ingredients makes me give it full rating at this time.KEY INGREDIENTS:Sunflower and Safflower OilsAloe VeraShea ButterKEY BENEFITS:Hydrates, soothesConditions, nourishesLightweightROSE fragrance scentYAY: Vegan, paraben, sulfate, phthalate, phosphate, gluten, and cruelty-freeFULL LIST OF INGREDIENTS:Water/Aqua, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Glycerides, Dimethicone, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Helianthus Annuss (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Fragrance/Parfum, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Xanthan Gum, Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides, Coco-Glucoside, Coconut Alcohol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ceteareth-20, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hexylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Geraniol, Lilial, Citronellol, Benzyl Salicylate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Juniperus Virginiana (Cedar) Wood Oil, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Leaf Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens (Geranium) Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Rosa Damascena (Rose) Absolute.
I chose this Kai hand cream because, this hand cream is made without paraben, sulfate, phthalate, phosphate & gluten free. cruelty free. vegan. recyclable packaging. Thought that was very nice of a company to do those things. My hands get very dry since I wash my hands often at work. I keep this Kai hand cream by my desk. I use the hand creamAfter washing my hands. The scent is slightly stronger than I would like. But, It was ok. The scent is delightful and smells very nice too. This would be a nice gift to someone.
kai's Rose Hand Cream comes in a small plastic tube with a flip-open spout. The lotion is white in color and thick and rich. It has a strong floral scent. It's not an unpleasant scent, but it is definitely noticeable and feminine. The lotion goes on smoothly and absorbs fairly well. It leaves my hands a little greasy feeling, but nothing overbearing. A little bit of lotion goes a long way and keeps my hands soft and moisturized for a few hours. All in all... a fine lotion.
I love the way that this smells. It is so delicious. Unfortunately it is not particularly moisturizing, especially with my scaly winter skin. It is not greasy at all, however, which is a plus. It is also steep in price given how tiny it is and the fact that it does not moisturize well.
My wife's word's: This moisturizer does do a good job on dry skin. The rose smell is very nice and it is strong, but it dissipates quickly. The fact that the hand cream uses natural ingredients and is vegan is very very important to me. Also, it is paraben, sulfate, phthalate, phosphate free. That is paramount for any cream or makeup I use. I do have to say that the cream does leave a little bit of a greasy feeling afterwards that does last a while. If you have very dry skin, this will help rather quickly. I do have very dry skin and this helped in two days. My only issue is the greasy feeling. Therefore, I give this hand cream a solid 4 stars. It is also a good value for those looking for a cream that has natural ingredients.
