I am a Mason Pearson fan girl. I’ve had the same Mason Pearson brush for over 20 years. I purchased this one for my daughter at the end of February, and it already is missing a good chunk of bristles- just 2 months later. Before you ask- no, she is not rough on the brush, her parents are the only ones who brush her hair.I’m incredibly disappointed with the quality. It detangles well, but the quality doesn’t seem to stack up to the product that I use from 20 years ago. If you’re considering the pocket, just go up a size. Maybe the quality will be better in a standard size?

Best brush in the world. Feels so good on my scalp. Been a fan for 55 years. Worth the cost. Lasts for years.

Mason Pierson can't be matched. I've used them for 50 years now and nothing else compares. You get a massage, detangling, etc.. The pocket size doesn't have the plastic bristles only which is great for fine hair, but the pocket version is a jewel, just the right size, handy, doesn't overwhelm a purse. Great. MP's cost a little more but are totally worth the cost and they require very little maintenance. If I could give them 10 stars, I would, Nothing else matches them and they survive hot dryers well too. Go to their website and check out all the versions. You'll become a fan too!!!

I love what this brush does to my hair. The shine and smoothness are unlike any other.

But too expensive for what it does. Brushes ones hair. Find the same feel brush at target for $15 max.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have owned Mason Pearson brushes for the majority of my life.They are HANDS DOWN the best brushes on the market. This is a detangling brush; I own this and a boar bristle. My hair is thinning and falling out, and these brushes are gentle and help to stimulate your scalp.TIP: I recommend starting by brushing your ends out and moving up inch by inch, as opposed to starting at the top and needing to yank through the knots.

That the brush should come with a cleaning brush for ease of cleaning

Was skeptical when I purchased, my new favorite brush. Worth every penny. It also stated it’s good for hair growth, so that’s a plus too, if it works.

The Mason Pearson hairbrush is amazing. It doesn’t pull on your hair and leaves you hair looking so soft. My hair is so thick that unfortunately I bought travel size. I do have problems in the sense that the brittle hardly touches my scalp but it’s my fault I didn’t buy the large size. It was just too much for my budget.

I have now gone thru two of these brushes. Needless to say it is a very expensive brush for its size and materials. I bought one in November and the next one the following february. The first one immdiately started loosing its plastic bristles so I thought it was a fluke and ordered another it being too late to return it. Now the second one is loosing its plastic bristles leaving gaps in the base of the brush. This is very poor quality for such an old famous name and $68.00!!!Dont buy this brush.

I think for nylon this should not cost almost as much as the boar bristle brush which is my only peeve (I actually mistook it for the boar when ordering.) That said it does work very well and I use this smaller size as my regular brush; I have the large one but it feels unwieldy and this one travels well too. The well-spaced bristles separate and penetrate to the scalp yet don't tug, I think due to the puffy rubber base which allows for gentle flexing. I had their boar bristle pocket size for a good 10 years before bristles on the front end and most-used side began to break and I expect the nylon will last even longer. Once you try Mason Pearson in either material you're hooked; I tried subbing the drugstore look-alike but not even close.

The ideal brush for long, thick hair, in a perfect size for a handbag. The bristles are firm enough to get through to the scalp and actually detangle without scraping or snagging. I have never found better and will likely use this brush for the rest of my life. Be careful not to confuse it with the boar-bristle version, which cannot penetrate thick hair at all.

I decided to purchase this before purchasing the medium-sized version which includes boar bristles. The brush is compact in size and is great for traveling or simply placing into a purse. The nylon bristles however, are weak and bend when I comb my hair. Nylon bristles are supposed to be made for thicker hair, yet my hair is fine/normal, so I am surprised that I have a difficult time using this nylon brush. I also get static in my hair everytime I use this. For the meantime, I do not plan to purchase another Mason Pearson hair brush based on my experience with this current one.

The brush is excellent. It does a great job with tangles in long thick hair. It evenly distributes the oils and any product efficiently and leaves your scalp feeling fresh.My only concern is that the brush feels very light. Dont get me wrong, it feels solidly constructed when you're using it, but it just feels hollow and too light.

Very nice brush that styles my hair very quickly and nicely. Definitely cut down my brush time in the morning.I've used a Mason Pearson for nearly 20 years and this is my replacement because my other one started breaking. The only bad thing is that once the bristles start falling out, you're done. You can't stop the brush from completely deteriorating. Otherwise amazing brush though slightly high cost.

My boyfriend picked out this brush for me. As someone who has never spent more than a few dollars for a hairbrush, I was skeptical about whether this investment would be worth it. I was definitely pleasantly surprised! This particular brush is perfect for my hair type (slightly thick, tending towards wavy/frizzy), with bristles that smooth out snarls easily. It provides just the right amount of "pull"- not too soft, not too hard. Lightweight and compact, very good quality. Also, if you're like me and like to buy from companies that don't use child labor- Mason Pearson is a London-based company that's been around for ages.
