I held off on buying a Mason Pearson brush for years. After marrying a cosmetologist and getting her the barber style comb and the handy brush, I decided to actually get the pocket comb. Regardless of price, it’s the best feeling comb you’ll ever have in your hand. The question is if you want to pay premium for it. The product is very high quality, it’s worth every penny if you care about that.
Great quality comb. Bought it for my son as a Christmas gift, and he really loved it!
Great comb if you are willing to shell out the money for a tiny pocket comb. I don't find I get the use for it personally, and looking back the price was very steep. But it's the best quality comb I have ever owned. It looks and feels great!
Spending $30 on a plastic comb was hard to justify but the quality here is unmistakable. The squared off tines avoid scratching my scalp and seems to part my hair better than other combs.
These combs are not ordinary; they’re extraordinary. Each one is of the finest quality. Once you experience these brand you wont settle for less. Every bag, car, etc; you will want to collect them!
This is an everyday luxury. Feels way better than regular combs and fits in my purse. Very spendy but is quality.
It’s great to have a comb with you when you’re out and about that won’t pull your hair out.
This is mason pearson, they never fail. Wanted a small comb to carry around. This has both a small teeth, and bigger teeth, so you can use it with any hair texture. It also helps me detangle. No static ever.
I have had a few other cheaper combs and they pulled my hair which I was beginning to think was normal or just my type of hair. Not so with this comb, it took me a while and watching reviews on You Tube to feel like spending the extra money was worth it. I am so impressed I and thinking about buying one of their brushes for my girlfriend, odd gift but I know she will feel the difference right away.
A comb is such a small thing, but something we use daily. This one is hardly any different than the cheap store bought type at first glance, but it just feels nicer. It’s smoother, thicker, and made with care rather than stamped out thoughtlessly. It won’t comb your hair any better and obviously costs much more, but I personally feel it is worth it and I’ve used exclusively this brand of combs for over 10 years now!
I love my small pocket comb, it fits easily in purses. Brushes well and looks fancy.
It has a nice feel to it. It really is not like combs you buy in the store. I know the prices on some of this brand can be hefty, but this one had a good price, and it really feels good. No plastic feel, nice medium weight.
This made a great stocking stuffer for a young man who likes nice things and who cares about his appearance. It's small enough to keep in a backpack. Mason Pearson is a trusted brand known for it's quality.
It's a $20 comb. Bought one because they sell them at the salon I go to (for twice as much). It broke in two weeks. Lost a tine/tooth, then broke in half a few days after that. I did keep it in my pocket, but come on. I don't know how careful most people are with their combs, but unless you're gonna keep it on your vanity or carry it in a comb wallet, (I assume such finery exists) I don't think this will last long. Using a 50 cent comb from walgreens now, my hair looks just as magnificent. Save your money, or buy a few for when they snap.
As with my other review of the Mason Pearson Styling Comb… this is a really nice comb that's well made and which uses high quality materials. It feels good to use… no sharp edges or tines. No starchiness. It's nice to look at. It feels substantial without being too heavy. It compares really well against super cheapo combs which tend to break and irritate the scalp. The hard thing about Mason Pearson products is getting clarity on the sizing. This is a pocket comb - it does not work quite as well as the Mason Pearson styling comb for someone who has big hands. If I were not concerned with portability I would prefer the slightly larger styling comb. But I wanted something small and this is great I'm very happy with it. I would not expect everyone to think the extra money is worth it unless they have tried and been injured by cheap sharp combs.
The Pocket Comb is a wonderful size for children, and is the only one I use on my 3 year old's hair. Recently I bought another comb in a high-end grocery store, thinking it looked similar to the Mason Pearson, but there is no comparison. The MP Pocket Comb glides through my daughter's hair and is very high quality. If you notice these things and are looking for a quality comb, this is the one.
Combs are one of those miscellaneous things you accumulate over time. Then you realize you have a drawer full of nasty, useless, busted up garbage. Throw them all away and get a couple of these. The ones at the local store are just as cheap and will fall apart just as fast. These don't bind up and are flexible enough not to break when you sit on them. I wish this one had longer teeth.
